FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a member of The IMC Equity Team, you will continue to advance our reputation by providing exceptional service to our clients.
In this role, you will be responsible for:

Independently preparing leasing documents including, but not limited to, leases (from boiler plates - retail, office, warehouse, land, parking), ammendments (renewals, build outs, tenant allowances, expansions, contractions, relocations), assignments, license agreements, termination agreements, letter agreements, month-to-month tenancies, equipment waivers, estoppels and SNDAs.

Reviewing leases, amendments, license agreements drafted and executed by leasing agents and satellite offices for content and accuracy. Ensuring the form and format of the document are correct and all requirements are met before transferring to Operations Department for internal processing.

Independently preparing revisions and changes to documents, based on recommendation and discussion with Director of Leasing.

Participating in lease negotiations with prospective tenants and/or tenant representatives and or brokers.

Processing automatic renewals for existing tenants and negotiating hard renewals, relocations, assignments, as needed.

Answering and directing incoming leasing calls from flyers and signs.

Assisting in the development and implementation of marketing materials including flyers, email blasts and online listings.

Creation of Lease abstracts.

Prepare and update department shared reports, including Exclusives/Restrictions for all Centers

Other job-related duties as may be assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

College degree, paralegal certificate and/or comparable experience in retail leasing at commercial real estate company or law firm.

Minimum three (3) years’ experience drafting retail leases and amendments either in a real estate company or legal environment.

Ability to independently draft retail leases and lease-related documentation.

Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), as well as Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign and web-based research.

Ability to prioritize and anticipate issues; ability to handle multiple tasks.

Excellent organizational skills.

Proven written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish, with a strong attention to detail.

Ability to interpret and analyze lease provisions.

Able to work with little to no supervision in a face pace, high pressure environment.
